When frontline workers asked the Board of Supervisors to enforce a public mask requirement, Andrew Do dismissed their claims by stating “If they have a real problem, why not take it up with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the California Department of Public Health.” 1
When Andrew Do was confronted with the severity of Covid 19, he reacted by “dismissing the evidence from China as anecdotal, and proceeded to misstate the death rate from the flu as 1 in 10,000.” As our communities suffered, he downplayed the severity of the virus. 2
Just like Donald Trump questioned the effects of Covid 19, Andrew Do joined his fellow supervisors to “publicly pressure for a rapid reopening.” Donald Trump and the supervisors publicly questioned the need for a mask mandate. As tens of thousands of Americans and over 1000 Orange County residents died, Donald and Andrew failed at keeping us safe.3
